| Christmas is on it's way! |
The title of my blog comes from one of my favorite passages in Scripture in the book of Romans, chapter 8:
31 ...If God is for us, who can be against us?...37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[k] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."Mmmm! Love those verses! It just goes to show that no matter how distant God can seem in your life, he is ever-present! Jesus paid it ALL, and nothing, ABSOLUTELY nothing can seperate us from His love. The phrase "more than conquerers" means so much to me. It tells me that this life on Earth is temporary, and that because my Savior has conquered death, so will I. But more so than that, it tells me that I will be even MORE than that, that I am his heir, and I will be with Him one day, forever! Who are we to deserve the love the Father has given us? Jesus became a man, to stand in the gap for us. It's incredible.
Anyway, I thought I'd start off my blog by explaining its title. Being a Journalism major at heart, I'm hoping this blog will take a load off these troubled shoulders. :)
